Unit Program:

Provide multi-unit student dwellings with at least fifty 2-student suits and 6 resident
assistant suite per building. The total number of students to be housed is 200 students (2 Buildings required). Provide 1 apartment in the student complex for a resident director.

The prototype design for the student units must support the following activities and qualities of experience for:

​

• Arrival and entry  to student rooms or suites

• Cooking and dinning in common areas- breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks; occasional guests (1-6); individual suites can have morning kitchens.

• Sleeping - single rooms, double rooms and/ or suites with no more than 6 students in a suite.

• Storage for clothes

• Toilet and bathing - as compact as possible and organized to reduce competition for the use of the unit.

• Social and personal intimacy for one, two, or several friends inside and outside.

• Visitability in at least 10% of all units.

• Community spaces for gathering, parties, and resident hall meeting.

• Ability to operate the residential facility as a hotel for conference during the summer.

• A convenience store to serve all 200 residence.

• Provide student parking and visitor parking.
